The Lorraine Bowen Experience

title:: Greatest Hits Volumes 1 & 2
label:: Sequin Skirt

Here are the first two records of Lorraine Bowen - the "queen of the casio" - The Lorraine Bowen Experience Volume 1 and Volume 2.

If I had to choose one record over the other it would probably be Volume 2, but both records are pretty fine and I would not want to have to choose one over the other (get both!).

Pier Bucci

title:: Familia
label:: Crosstown Rebels

Fittingly, the first full length album from the Crosstown Rebels label, after a slew of 12 inch singles and the Crosstown Rebels Presents Rebel Futurism Sessions One and Two compilations, is Familia by Pier Bucci from Santiago, Chile.

For Familia, Bucci has turned to Armelle Pioline (co-founder of Holden and Icalma) and Macha for help on the vocals on a few tracks, fleshing out an album of warm microhouse electronica.

New England Teen Scene: The Next Generation

various artists
label:: Arf Arf

Arf! Arf! Records, of Middleborough, MA has released a compilation that archives the middle of New England's garage history with New England Teen Scene.

Erik Lindgren, the owner of Arf! Arf!, has dedicated himself to garage music's history. He has written and performed on many of these tracks. Not only does he know the sound, he makes the sound.
