Joe Bataan

Joe Battan was born Bataan Nitollano to Afro-Filipino parents in East Harlem NYC. He is considered to be the King of Latin Rn'B.

In 1976 he co-founded Salsoul Records with Ken Cayre. The label was named after the record of the same name which Joe released in 1973.

Denim

Lawrence Hayward is the man behind Denim. Originally the founder and guitar sound of the avant pop band Felt.

Felt mixed the sensibility of the Velvet Underground and spawn bands like Television. Denim is a band that takes its cue from the seventies but not from the arty and obscure influential powerhouses of the seventies. This band takes its cue from "glam-rock".

Dirt Crew

Silver is their first 12inch on the label My Best Friend, a subsidiary of Traum Schallplatten in Germany. The sound is New Beat / Acid House.

The A side Silver has snippets of a vocal, while the B side Lost is one 4/4 beat extended over the length of the track.
