Ellen Allien: click here to read the full review of this record

CD / Ellen Allien / Stadtkind / Bpitch Control

First full length by Berlin techno artist Ellen Allien. Her label is happening and this record is too. Most songs have vocals, though vocals play little part in the songs. It is all about rhythm.

Dot Allison: click here to read the full review of this record

CD / Dot Allison / We Are Science / Mantra

Dot Allison has been lucky enough to work with some great producers for her work, and her voice sounds angelic and beautiful. It just seems as though she could have used more direction in order to build a better focus for this sophomore effort.

Komeit: click here to read the full review of this record

CD / Komëit / Falling Into Place / Monika Enterprise

Combines the best of bedroom casio pop (without sounding like it was recorded in a bedroom), New Zealand-inspired melancholy and the atmospherics of Brian Eno circa Before and After Science.
