Gang of Four EPThis is not an EP by the band Gang Of Four. It is a compilation of four songs from four different labels (put out on a fifth record label).

On this 12' are Pepe Deluxé with 'Call Me Goldfinger' (from the Catskills label), Tutto Matto 'LMF (The Last Minute Of Funk)' (from Tummy Touch), Runaways 'Do It' (from Ultimate Dilemma), and Bonobo with 'Magicman' (from Tru Thoughts).

All the tracks are consistent in style: Upbeat disco beat pop. Pepe Deluxé have the catchiest cut, but you have to watch the language: There is a curse right before the end that any radio DJ will have to catch.

Italy's Tutto Matto have a fast tempo funky instrumental that I like.

Runaways song sounds like a Harlem Shuffle Blaxpoloitation cut with Pigbag styled horns and a street beat.

Bonobo have a Mr. Scruff 'Get A Move On' styled cut complete with old time clarinet and shuffling beats.

This 12' is not stone cold crucial, but it is also not anything I'd be embarrassed to play to anyone (except my Mom, with the curses on track 1!).
