Of all the 'Bollywood' compilations sitting on all the shelves of record stores, Bollywood Funk is my favorite. Maybe that means I am not a true Bollywood fan. If so, so be it.
I like this compilation a lot. It has less of the high pitched female vocal and more of the wild backing music. The record does not list the names of the artists. Maybe they would have twisted our untrained tongues.
My favorite tracks are'Hum Kisise Theme' (A1), 'Baby Let's Dance Together' (A3), 'Dance Music (From Hare Rama Hare Krishna)' (A5), and 'Disco Cammata' (D3). The beauty of this comp is NOT these 4 tracks (though I love each of them), but the fact that there are no tracks I really hate. All of this set is pretty smart.
I have found myself unable to take other Bollywood compilations in their entirety. Bollywood Funk delights all the way through.
