CD / The Delgados / Peloton / Chemikal Underground / Mantra /
Very serious and mature second album by the Glasgow band. Emma from the band runs the label. Sounds a bit like Tse Tse Fly, and has the A sides of both the last singles /

CD / Scott 4 / Recorded In State LP / Satellite /
On the very good London label which also put out the Add N to X albums overseas. Has a unique twist in the country-ish twang of the vocalist, sounding out of place among the synth and key touches on top of a modern beat. Includes both A sides of their last 2 singles /

CD, with magazine / Ptolemaic Terrascope #25 / Ptolemaic Terrascope /
15 songs with lots of strange finds mixed in with an indestinctive few. Includes Karl Precoda's (of Dream Syndicate) new band "The Last Days Of May", named after a great Blue Oyster Cult song from 1973, and Poland's "Atman", along with Scotlands "The Kitchen Cynics", the UK's "The Lazily Spun", and many more.

7" / Velodrome 2000 / Charity Shopping EP / Popstar /
4 songs by UK boy / girl band with bite. I like the first songs on each side. The second songs are punkier than theirpredesessors on each side /

7" / Dymaxion / Use Once and Destroy / Duophonic /
Really vibrant electronic pop instumentals. 4 songs, on Stereolab - run label

7" / Wheat / Death Car / Easy! Tiger /
Much better than their recent appearance at Stereo Totals show would lead to expect, especially the instumental B-Side, which is crisp

7" / Speed Racer / Fountain / Neptunes /
On really great Belfast label which put out the great vinyl "Looking at the earth, and it was good" compilation (which we have). Very good A-side for fans of Policecat and the like.
